Hello Miners,
Finally Abyss Idle Miner made it into the mobile game development and that also means I had to pause or more likely cancel the browser game update 1.13. I'm sorry for this development to all browser game lovers. I would like to explain to you how I came to this decision.

Let's look back:
On June 27th, 2022 I developed this game for a Game jam Mini Jam 109: Depth(s). I immediately thought of my favorite anime series Made in Abyss and took it as a reference. The months after that I patched bugs whenever I had a spare minute.

This year:
I haven't blogged for a long time because I've been busy with work. But I continued to work on it because I just had fun with it. I wanted to improve the UI and eventually reached a limit in my programming experience. I asked my brother for advice as he is a programmer. He had never programmed browser games before, but has developed games for other platforms, such as consoles or mobile. He is also excellent at Unity. He said he could finish it in a month and told me all the advantages of the mobile game. I didn't want to miss this attempt.

Now:
We've been working on this for a week and the progress feels like three months. I was very surprised! UX revision is done. Features have been revised. In fact, many new ones are added. We have more collectibles. You can build your base. Hire NPC and send them on missions. There is lore and quests. You can still click on the stone, but the Abyss just gives you more options now.

What's the current state of play?
30% is already programmed. The rest of the new assets still have to be drawn. For motivation, I created an Instagram account where I post pictures of the development every day. I will post other things on my Patreon page.

When will the game be finished?
Expected end of August (Beta Version)
Postponed until mid-September (Bug Fixing)
Postponed end of October (Bug Fixing & Balancing)

Conclusion:
I'm really sorry that the 1.13 update for browsers was cancelled. But I just wanted to show you a result that works as quickly as possible. A whole game! Not just an UI revision.
